Covered Bridge Festival

Every year in my area we always have a Covered Bridge Festival. What is that you ask? Pretty much a bunch of food trucks and craft vendors getting together to sell their products. I have absolutely no idea why they call it that. Trust me, it sounds better than I’m explaining it.

I haven’t been able to go to this event in years! Last year of, course, was because of Covid. Is there a way to add an eye roll emoji in here! I always take this event as the official start of Autumn in my area. Even though it’s a month after that ACTUAL official start of Autumn. It’s also always the weekend after The Bloomsburg Fair. The one thing I went to that I didn’t even take notes of! There was just so much going on!

Anyways, back to the Covered Bridge Festival. This was the first year that they had it at The Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Normally it’s held at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Not gonna lie, I thought it was better at Knoebels, but this was the first year they switched. I’ll give them a chance for next year. Events should have a chance to redeem themselves, right?

So, this event is HUGE! Although not quite as big as the Bloomsburg Fair. With close to 400 vendors it’s a close second! It certainly didn’t seem so big though! I’m not really in to the “country décor” stuff which is what they typically have here. It’s just the area I live in. Damn this post is super boring so far, huh? I did however grab a few business cards from the few stands I looked at that I liked. I will highlight them below!

S.M.Miller Greenhouses

I didn’t really get too much of a good look at this stand, but what I did see I liked. Otherwise I wouldn’t have grabbed a business card! I was also hoping this link would expand to much more than it does. Unfortunately it just gives basic information. They had plants and succulents which I love!!

Mr.Mike’s Homemade Specialties

I’ve recently been exposed to peppered jelly. IT’S ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I’VE EVER TASTED!! Just some crackers, cream cheese and peppered jelly! I, being the cheap person that I am, didn’t taste too many of their jams. I wish I could remember the kind I did try! Again can I insert a crying emoji here! I liked it enough to grab a business card though!

The Kitty Tree House

They didn’t have a whole lot at their “stand”, but I loved what I did see! It may be a little more expensive than most, but I love that it’s ALL handmade. Give them a call today! I know I sure will!

WBL Creations

This was one of the stands that actually had different products than most of the stands there. A lot of their products revolved around alcohol related products. Maybe that’s why I enjoyed it so much! Give them a call today!

Roland Metal Art

This was hands down one of my favorite stands at the festival. I didn’t see another stand at all that was similar to this one. I wish that I had the money to buy something from them! Here’s their other pages:

Georgie Lehoop

I saved the best for last of course. His stand was the absolute best in my opinion. It was nothing like the rest and I loved that about his art. He was such a humble person too. I would absolutely love to run in to him again! PLEASE take the time to look at his stuff . Here’s his pages:

That’s all I have to show for now. Please look at these local artists pages and give them the support they deserve. Hope to see you all again soon in my next post!!
