Hey folks! I’m back, back again. Sorry for my absence, it’s been a crazy few months. So you guys may not know this, but I have a full time job that requires me to be on my feet for up to 10 hours a day, sometimes 12 hours. By the time I get home I’m exhausted and my feet are killing me. Our feet are much more important than you may realize. I learned this with the very first job I ever had. Working at Famous Footwear at our local mall before the store closed down. I feel like I would still be working there to this day if it had stayed open.
Changing the subject now…..so, anyone else struggle to get a decent foot rub from their significant other? No? I’m not the only one? GOOD! I’m here to help! This foot soak is going to have your significant other wondering why you’re no longer bugging them for a foot massage. The smell alone wants to make me fall asleep. I once again used a recipe I found on Aura Cacia’s website, but I revamped it to suit my needs/wants.
I promise I won’t ramble on and on and on and on this time. For the amount of time I’ve been gone I don’t really have much to report. I lead a very boring life guys. I mostly work and work and work and maybe just maybe I get a break to enjoy life a little bit. Okay, so as promised I have the recipe for the foot soak below and I also have my version of the foot soak. Hope you guys find it as relaxing as I did!
Ingredients(of original recipe):
- 6-10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 6-10 drops of Spearmint Essential Oil
- 4-ounce amber wide mouth jar
- 4 Tablespoons sea salt
- 3 Tablespoons Epsom salts
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 36-40 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
Ingredients(of my recipe):
- 10-12 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- 10-12 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
- 4-ounce amber wide mouth jar
- 4 Tablespoons sea salt
- 4 Tablespoons Epsom salts
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 5-7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
The only reason my recipe is different is because this was a last minute recipe for me. I unfortunately didn’t have ANY Epsom salts at home and I searched and searched just to make this foot soak and all I could find was Epsom Salts with Lavender Essential Oil already mixed in with them. Obviously you can make this foot soak to suit your own needs. I based my recipe on the smell. DO NOT GO BY SMELL ALONE! I have a very odd sense of smell. it’s not very easy to explain it. It’s more of a “you need to be around me” type of “issue”.
Anyways I’ve included a picture of the products I’ve used to make the foot soak. Again please don’t mind my sub-par photos. I’m still learning how to take pictures inside. Also because I’ve used a slightly different recipe, I ended up with an extra amount. It didn’t fit in the jar I put the rest of the recipe in.
I promise soon I ‘ll have some holiday gift ideas and specials coming up soon!
